Recently, the final chapter of the Starcraft 2 trilogy came out, and I figured  I would do an un-boxing video. Well, here it is.

Enjoy!

There are many strategy games out there, but Starcraft 2 is one of the greatest. The singleplayer continues the story of the Terrans, Protoss, and Zerg as they fight to survive, while discovering a threat to the entire galaxy. Then there is the Multiplayer. The multiplayer has a ladder system, with different divisions and points. You gain or lose points depending on if you win or lose a match. There are many, many user created maps/game modes to choose from (which don’t effect your ladder stats, but are fun and extremely diverse) to keep you entertained, should you tire of the standard matches. There are 2 expansions (Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void ((In development))) which add new maps, units, and new chapters to the story. This is the sequel to a genre defining title, and the conclusion to an epic story.

starbound wallpaperThough the graphics may seem outdated, this game is a masterpiece. In this 2D universe, you design a character, and start off on a random planet. You then repair your starship, and explore the galaxy. You can find Medieval robot villages, tribes of plant people, an extremely smart race of monkey people, and many other things. There are many types of worlds, from deserts to tundras to asteroid fields. You can also mine and build anything you want, using the blocks and decorations. The Game itself is in the beta stage, and the Developers have a near daily post that shows changes and new features. Overall, this game has become one of the best PC experiences I’ve had, though the last early access game I played was Spacebase DF-9, which was a total flop.

Recently, I went to Los Angeles for a vacation. While I was there, I went to Universal Studios, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Magic Mountain. This post will be a comparison of the three. Magic Mountain had the most rides by far, many of which were your typical roller coasters, though there were lots of people there.Knott’s Berry Farm had the most variation between the rides. Some rollercoasters went backwards, some went twice in one ride, and one actually spun around while speeding through loops and drops. Universal studios had less rides, but they were all based on popular movies, and had many 3D effects. There were also a number of other things, such as taking selfies with Megatron or taking a tour of the actual studios. Overall, my favorite was Knott’s Berry Farm.

Garry’s Mod is a sandbox game where you can literally do anything you can think of. You can make funny scenes using ragdolls, the tool gun, and the physics gun. You can use anything from valve made characters to community submitted items, including maps and game modes. Two of my favorite game modes are Prop Hunt and Trouble in Terrorist Town.

Trouble in Terrorist Town (TTT for short)

In Prop Hunt, there are two teams: the seekers and the props. the props can pick up almost anything and turn into it, so they can blend in. the seekers have to find and kill the props with an arsenal of guns. For TTT, there is a group of innocent terrorists, but every 1 in 4 is a Traitor. Traitors have to kill all the innocents and have access to a point shop, where they spend credits earned with each kill to buy traitor only gear, from C4 to silenced assault rifles to armor. There are many other game modes, so you should check this game out.
