hyperionbattle

There are many strategy games out there, but Starcraft 2 is one of the greatest. The singleplayer continues the story of the Terrans, Protoss, and Zerg as they fight to survive, while discovering a threat to the entire galaxy. Then there is the Multiplayer. The multiplayer has a ladder system, with different divisions and points. You gain or lose points depending on if you win or lose a match. There are many, many user created maps/game modes to choose from (which don’t effect your ladder stats, but are fun and extremely diverse) to keep you entertained, should you tire of the standard matches. There are 2 expansions (Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void ((In development))) which add new maps, units, and new chapters to the story. This is the sequel to a genre defining title, and the conclusion to an epic story.

starbound wallpaperThough the graphics may seem outdated, this game is a masterpiece. In this 2D universe, you design a character, and start off on a random planet. You then repair your starship, and explore the galaxy. You can find Medieval robot villages, tribes of plant people, an extremely smart race of monkey people, and many other things. There are many types of worlds, from deserts to tundras to asteroid fields. You can also mine and build anything you want, using the blocks and decorations. The Game itself is in the beta stage, and the Developers have a near daily post that shows changes and new features. Overall, this game has become one of the best PC experiences I’ve had, though the last early access game I played was Spacebase DF-9, which was a total flop.
